Media and Information Literacy
Our concerns, our challenges
It is a question of learning to look, to analyze, to question oneself in order to better understand the media systems, to train in critical judgement, to develop a taste for the news and to forge a citizen's identity.
learn to watch
Image education should enable people to read and decipher photos, to take a step back from the flood of images received, to provide a key to approaching the press and the media.
Accompanying the eyes of students, making them more independent, giving meaning to the images that surround them, are essential issues today.
Think together to get out of the binary reflection "I like / I don't like", make your perception more citizen, imagine, share and above all avoid pitfalls.
Educational issues
Driven by the desire to reduce inequalities in terms of access to information and the media, the International Photojournalism Center offers various media to bring the public closer to media education.
These are actions related to image education and the practice of a media. These actions are led by photojournalists and mediators specialized in image.
Finally, the participants will approach different fields and disciplines, will have easy and readable access to information and will have a keen eye on the world.
